Activists: Welcome to BloggerCorps!
BloggerCorps was created to help activists and non-profit organizations leverage the power of blogs in their work. So if you've found this site because you need help getting started, you're in the right place! There are two ways that we can help:
- Local Help Getting Started with Blogs: If you'd like someone in your area to walk you through the process of blogging, we'll try to match you a volunteer blogger from our BloggerCorps.org members. Here's how you can let us know about your project:
- Register on this page so you can parcipate on this site. It's always FREE and just takes a minute.
- Then login to this site via this page.
- Click "New Blog Entry" to create a new post about your project. Note: Due to spam and privacy issues (this site is public!), you should not list your email address, home address, or phone numbers in your post!
- In the Purpose drop-down box, select "Help Needed" to tell us you're looking for blogger help.
- In the Location drop-down box, select your state or country (or *OTHER* if your country isn't listed yet). In all cases, you should also mention your city/state/country in your post to help us find volunteer bloggers near you.
- After writing a brief note about your project and what you'd like help with, click Preview at the bottom of the page.
- A preview draft of your post appears at the top of the page, and you can edit further or click Submit at the bottom of the page to submit your help request.
- Your request should now appear on our BloggerCorps Help Needed page.
- Check back periodically to see comments and discussion about your project!
- Quick Questions: If you're already familiar with blogs and just need help with specific questions, our discussion forums might be helpful. Post a question in our BloggerCorps Q&A forum and we'll try to get you the answers you need as quickly as possible.
